Longhorns for Vaccines
Hook’em to a Healthy Campus: Protect. Inspire. Vaccinate!
Project Overview
A campus-wide sticker and poster initiative was developed to encourage students, faculty, and staff at the University of Texas at Austin to get vaccinated. The poster designs were inspired by the iconic WPA (Works Progress Administration) posters, with the objective of reimagining their style for a modern audience or context. As part of the classroom assignment, we selected an existing WPA poster and updated its design to align with contemporary messaging.
The sticker design complemented the vaccine posters, further emphasizing the importance of reducing the risk of illness, protecting vulnerable members of the community, and promoting the overall health and well-being of the campus.
To effectively reach the university audience, I aimed to highlight school spirit, use minimal wording, and evoke a sense of accomplishment and joy in participating in the vaccination effort.
